Desirable medium frame double action revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle, circa 1968-1977. Features a bright blued finish, pinned 4" barrel with narrow sighting rib, raised 1/8" Baughman Quick Draw front sight with orange insert, adjustable micrometer click rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder with recessed chambers, .500" target trigger, .500" target hammer, square butt K target frame, and two-piece checkered walnut Target grips with silver S&W medallions. Includes a factory two-piece blue box for a 19-3 and documents from Armalite & Smith & Wesson regarding a repair to the cylinder/chambers. The document from Armalite states "The subject gun was recylindered for .22 Magnum. The customer claims it was a factory rework. He was told that by a dealer he bought it from at a recent gun show. Two of the chambers are oversized and the cartridges cannot be ejected without great difficulty. Please advise of the cost of repair." The invoice from Smith & Wesson details the work performed and is dated 01/25/82. Revolver exhibits approximately 95% of it's original finish showing light muzzle wear, a faint drag line, minor handling marks and a bright loss on the front of the trigger guard. Action is smooth with very good lock-up, bore is excellent and wood grips show a small loss on the toe of both panels. Condition is NRA near excellent in box. ***Modern Firearm***
