Smith & Wesson M1903 .32 Cal Hand Ejector Revolver
Smith & Wesson Model 1903 5th Change .32 Hand Ejector. The .32 S&W Long caliber Hand Ejector series started in 1896 and continued to modern times with numerous “Changes” or improvements along the way. The 5th Change was made from 1910 to 1917 in the serial range of 102501-263000. This example has serial number 107609 which would place a manufacture date in the first year of the series or about 1910. This six shot double action revolver features S&Ws scarce extension grips which provided small frame revolvers a larger gripping area and display the correct S&W medallions along with diamond checkering. The revolver also has a 2 ¾” barrel marked with “32 LONG CTG” on the left side. It has the correct half-moon front sight. There is also a sharp S&W round logo stamped on the left side of the frame below the cylinder release. Fine, deep blue overall with only some light blue wear toward the muzzle on both sides of the barrel and tight mechanically. A scarce small frame 114 year old Smith & Wesson. The revolver weighs 1lbs. Serial Number: 107609. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
