Smith & Wesson .38 Single Action Third Model (Model of ’91) top break revolver, .38 cal., 4” barrel, blue finish, pearl grips, #2611. This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 65% muted blue finish with the balance turned to a plum blue patina with some very fine scattered pin prick pitting confined primarily to the barrel and cylinder; the action is tight and crisp, the markings are sharp, the bore is excellent and there are ample amounts of case colors on the hammer and traces on the trigger guard; the iridescent pearl grips are in excellent condition and fit this revolver impeccably. The front sight is nickel plated with just a couple of spots of loss. A very hard Smith & Wesson variation to obtain in any condition and very scarce in blue. Est.: $3,000-$3,500.
