Smith & Wesson .38 Safety Hammerless Model DA revolver, U.S. marked on the left side of the barrel assembly at the lug, .38 S&W cal., 6” barrel, re-blued finish, checkered black hard rubber grips, #41380, all matchingvisible numbers including the barrel assembly. This gun is in overall good condition as refinished with a good action, good markings, good bore and good grips showing wear and a couple mars. Smith &Wesson accounts show 100 .38 Safety Hammerless Army Test revolvers were sold to the U.S. Government in May 1890 in the serial range of 41,333-41,470 and they were blue finished with 6” barrels. No furtherdocumentation provided by the estate of this consignor, but in our opinion, the gun appears correct; should be factory lettered however to verify. From the Dr. John Hall Collection. Buyer pays all cost of materials, handling, packing etc. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
