Smith & Wesson .38 Safety Hammerless First Model with desirable “Z-bar” barrel release mechanism, .38 S&W cal., 3-1/4” barrel, nickel finish, pearl grips, #1383 (all matching visible numbers) accompanied byfactory cardboard box with correct end label that is also stamped No. 1385. This hard-to-find Model is in overall excellent condition showing approx. 96% original finish with a couple of very light loss areas atthe muzzle and primarily at the right side of the frame in front of the cylinder; very good bore, crisp action and markings, fine iridescent pearl grips; box is overall very good with some slight wear on corners, verygood end label, Directions for Use in the inner lid, a factory cleaning brush and small white markings “KM 631” on the trigger guard and the side lid of the box; appears to be the markings from the old Karl Moldenhauercollection.
