Included in this lot is a Smith & Wesson double action revolver chambered in the .38 caliber. The revolver features a patina’d nickel finish and utilizes a round 3 ¼” barrel, frame, and 5-shot cylinder with factory hard rubber factory grips. The trigger, trigger guard, hammer, and cylinder all show the factory blue finish. The revolver is marked in numerous places, reading; "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D JAN.17&24.65 - JULY 11.65. AUG. 24.69. JULY 25.71. DEC.2.79.MAY 11&25. 1880" on the top of the barrel rib and showing matching serial numbers on the butt of the grips, on the back of the cylinder, and on the bottom of the top break latch. The firing mechanism is in nonworking condition and features loose parts. Serial Number: 28971. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
