Smith & Wesson 2nd model or Old Russian revolver, .44 caliber, 7” barrel, blue finish, wood grips, serial #33359, shipped Dec. 14th, 1874, in a shipment of 100 to M. W. Robinson, New York. With factory letterverifying all features. The revolver remains in very good original condition showing 50-70% evenly thinning and toning blue finish with some drifting to brown, some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting just starting.There are some slight marks on each side of the hinge. The grips are very good, fit impeccably, with some even wear. There are a few names and other markings in pencil inside the wood grips including what may be “HuletKiltner” and “July”. The markings are sharp, action is tight, the bore is at least very good and may clean to excellent with strong rifling. Est: $1,750 - $3,500
