Smith & Wesson #2 Army, .32 caliber rimfire, blue finish, ivory grips, in original W. Kidder case. Serial # 7354. The pistol remains in original fine condition with 92-96% original bright commercial blue finish with beautifully aged period ivory grips, also near fine condition just showing slight yellowing and minor "checking" on the bottoms. The hammer shows 50% dulling case colors. The pistol is contained within a near fine original "W. Kidder" marked case with 1854 patent date. The case shows original brownish colored velveteen with two compartment covers retained, original bone-ivory pulls and proper cleaning rod. The outside of the case is very good plus to near fine and shows brass corners and fittings. A fine Smith & Wesson in a rare original casing. From a major New England collection that arrived late.
