Smith & Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector (“Triple Lock”) DA revolver, .44 S&W Special cal., 5” barrel, re-nickeled finish, custom engraved Bohlin silver grips with LA County Sheriff’s Badge medallions and gold initialson the right grip “WRT”, #2045 (and a star on the butt strap) with factory letter indicating the gun was shipped from the factory on April 21, 1910 and delivered to Union Hardware & Metal Co., Los Angeles, CA.with a 5” barrel, nickel finish and checkered walnut grips. The letter also states “The star next to the serial number indicates that the revolver was returned to the factory for refinishing or rework”. The gun is alsoaccompanied by a custom fancy tooled leather silver mounted holster rig. This gun and rig are accompanied by a letter and file of information from noted Western historian and author Lee Silva who discovered the gun in2009 and was able to determine the it was previously was the property of Warren R.
