Smith & Wesson 1st Model 3rd issue .22 caliber 7-shot revolver, New York Style light scroll engraved, nickel plated, varnish wood grips, serial #64382. The revolver retains 50-70% original nickel drifting on thecylinder and muzzle. Areas where the nickel has lifted have gone to a dark patina. The grips show 30-50% varnish and some even wear. The barrel address is good, the action good, the bore slightly rough. The engraving is of a simple and inexpensive pattern with light scroll and punch-dot backgrounds which fill most of the areas. Absolutely genuine 19th century engraving. Est: $400 - $800
