Revolver. S/A, D/A. 6rd capacity. .45 Hand Ejector. N Frame, square butt. Blued finish. 5 1/2" round, pinned barrel. Brazilian Contract. 25,000 Model 1917's were made for the Brazilian Government and stamped with the Brazilian crest on the sideplate dated 1937. Small S&W trademark is found on the frame's left side with "Made in the U.S.A. on the right. Patent dated on top of the barrel, and "S&W D.A. 45" on the barrels left side. Lanyard ring present. Che3ckered hammer spur, and checkered "Diamond" grips. A number of these revolvers have made their way back to the U.S. (No visible import marks) Bore and cylinders appears excellent/bright. Action is crisp/tight. Grips are very good with some minor dings. Blued metal finish is about 70%, with numerous small scratches/dings. NRA Condition-Near Very Good, C&R Firearm.
