pill magazine for “Rocket Ball” ammunition, S/N 108. Engraved frame with 25” barrels and 44 ½” overall. In very good plus to near fine original condition with 50%-70% original blue turning plum on the frame, barrel and magazine. Some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. Good markings and visible 1849 patent date. The stock is also at least very good with some rubbing or oiling but fits up nicely and shows some select grain. This model arm was the grandfather of the Volcanic and Tyler Henry was the foreman of the factory. “The Jennings is important to Winchester evolution because it served to bring together the talents of Tyler Henry, Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson. Their combined efforts led ultimately to quite historic developments in lever action repeating firearms”. See Flayderman 5K-004. (Antique) Est.: $10,000-$20,000
