Smith .52 caliber breach loading carbine in original fine to near excellent condition. Serial number 6284. The barrel retains 90% to 95% original blue that is drifting and toning just slightly with some minor erosionand natural aging. The frame shows 75% to 85% case hardening just some dried grease and oil. There is very bright blue on the trigger guard and latch which is still shiny. The stocks are near fine with a couple ofminor scratches and bruises with a light coating of linseed oil and a very fine and fully visible cartouche. The markings are sharp and the edges very crisp with all correct small parts retained. The bore isexcellent and the carbine shows no use. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
