Small silver plate with R stamp under wide rim, ex-Concepción (1641). 191 grams. 9" in diameter, ¾" deep. Lightweight and small, polished to a bright silver color, unique with this R stamp on rim on the back side (no others found on this ship), and intact minus corrosion in bottom and along rim. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic, and accompanied by the July 1996 issue of National Geographic signed by Captain Tracy Bowden on his article "Gleaning Treasure from the Silver Bank."
