Corroded oval frame with gilding mostly intact and bright but underlying metal completely gone, some damage including bends and small holes. The steamer Royal Charter, built in 1855, sank near Anglesey, Wales, during a storm on October 2, 1859 while finishing a voyage from Melbourne, Australia, to Liverpool, England.
