Small Soldiers Alan Abernathy's (Gregory Smith's) Schwinn Bike Prop
Small Soldiers Alan Abernathy's (Gregory Smith's) Schwinn Bike Prop - One of the best and most beloved sequences in Joe Dante's smash hit fantasy action adventure, "Small Soldiers" (1998) is when young Alan Abernathy (Gregory Smith), is riding his bike with toy solider Archer (voiced by Frank Langella), well concealed, as they are being closely followed by the Commando Elite. Their top gun, Brick Bazooka (voiced by George Kennedy), is sent to assassinate Archer, and is "sling shot" into Alan's speeding bike. Clinging on for his life (with a rope that has been shot into the bike's water bottle), Brick endures being dragged on the street, almost eaten by a dog, and, climbing onto the bike's wheel, having his legs and hips torn off by the spokes! This is Alan's actual hero screen used Schwinn Frontier GS Ride Tuned seven-gear Cro-Mo high-strength lightweight chrome-moly frame bike. It is the bike used both for the physical production location filming, as well as the in-studio green screen effects. It also includes the iconic water battle, and back wheel storage accessory. It comes with an auction tag from Profiles In History. Bike is approx 60"x42". Please note that because of its size there will be additional shipping charges.
