Entitled "Search of Cibola" by Mike McFarland, cowboy artist. The subject portrays Coronado with Native American on his search for the legendary "Seven Cities of Gold." Cibola was a Zuni Pueblo in the cliff dwellings of New Mexico. Mike McFarland is a real cowboy artist who began sculpting after a roping accident. He has won numerous awards including First Place at Phippen Museum Memorial Art Show and Best of Show. He was a close friend of Joe Beeler and commissioned by Eddie Basha, the premier Arizona art collector of grocery store fame to create a bronze of Joe Beeler. Measures 6 1/2" tall. Numbered No. 13.
