In part, "...I, Louis L Morgan Sheriff of the Parish of St Tammany...by virtue of an order of sale from the eighth district Court...in the matter of P & T Lacroix & their creditors...ordering a sale of all real estate & slaves...a portion of which was, the slave woman named Peggy, aged about forty years...in pursuance thereof did advertise agreeably to law that I would expose said property for sale at public Auction at the door of the Court House town of Covington Parish...I, the Sheriff...did proceed to sell said property after having read in a loud and audible voice the advertisement...said property was adjudicated to Isaac Bloom for...three hundred & twenty five dollars..."
