Skonvirke are sought-after Scandinavian Art Nouveau pieces of jewellery; these two finely executed examples are typical for the sculptural quality of the Skonvirke style that often includes inset cabochons

These two silver and amber pieces of jewellery are crafted in the Scandinavian Skonvirke style. Both designs are typical Art Nouveau with their extravagant floral ornament. The brooch by C. A. Christensen is crafted in an elaborate fashion and adorned with amber cabochons. The fine pendant is a delicate design that also resembles a floral ornament and is adorned with an amber cabochon.

The items are in good condition with slight traces of wear. The brooch is hallmarked with the purity “830S” and a maker’s mark “C.A.C.”. The measurements are 8 x 5.5 for the brooch and the pendant has a length of 3 cm. The overall weight is 12 grams. (khe)
