This silver plated belt buckle and the silver brooch are crafted in the scandinavian Skonvirke style. Both parts of the buckle are open worked and show blooming flowers in their midst. The silver brooch is made in the same design and can be perfectly combined with the buckle. Skonvirke works are sought after Scandinavian Art Nouveau pieces of jewellery.



Both pieces are in good condition with usual signs of wear. The length measures between 6 and 9.5 cm and the height is between 3.5 and 5.5 cm. The brooch is verso hallmarked with purity ‘825’ and the markers mark ‘V.A.’ and ‘S’; it weighs about 10.4 grams. (lvp)
