<B>Sixth Plate Tintype of Man in Bowler (Krainik 237),</B></I> ca. 1880, the subject sits in a studio wearing white suspenders and an embroidered bibbed shirt, housed in an earlier thermoplastic case embossed with “The Volunteer Fireman”, <I>Krainik 116</B></I>, on the lid and a geometric pattern, <I>Krainik 237</B></I>, on the back panel. Small chip at latch, some crazing to tintype’s emulsion.
