<B>Sixth Plate Ambrotype Showing Young Girl in Highchair (Krainik 176), </B></I> identified by an enclosed note as “<I>Lillian Little Heyd / Born 1854/ 2 yr’s old</B></I>”, housed in a highly unusual thermoplastic case fitted with an oval glass window through which the subject may be viewed. Both sides of the case are embossed with foliate motifs, the back being <I>Krainik 176</B></I>. The image’s emulsion has numerous flaked areas and a patch of blistering visible when angled to light. Fortunately, these blemishes do not detract from the overall presentation. A small chip on the back edge of the case.
