6 1/2" by 4 1/4". This photograph depicts a rather simplistic recreation of the fight on December 15th, 1890 with 3 Indian Policemen holding rifles trained on the door to the Cabin. It was most certainly taken within days of the death of Sitting Bull as the scene is identical to an image taken of this cabin on the morning of the fight and published in various newspapers. The Cabin was later deconstructed and moved to Chicago where it was reconstructed and exhibited at the Columbian Exposition / Chicago World's Fair. It is identified with printed text on the front of the card mount that reads "Sitting Bull's Cabin" along with what appears to be period inscriptions on the front and the back of the mount that both read "Waiting for Sitting Bull to Come Out".The mount carries the mark of the photographer - George W. Scott of Yankton, South Dakota
