Never before seen and previously confidential trial notes handwritten by Robert Kennedy's assassin, Sirhan Sirhan, with extensive memories about his booking in jail. Five full pages of detailed notes of his medical examination and jail booking after the murder, with highlights including: ''…I was taken by about 12 huge plainsclothsemen [sic] to New County Jail. There were many guards at our arrival there. They wheeled me into booking area. I stripped was searched, then finger-printed and photographed. All this time all the plainclothsemen were there. After being photographed, I was put in an old wooden wheelchair and was wheeled by Dep. Levingston who took me to the Jail Hospital. Other deputies cleared the way before us from other prisoners. I was directed into a small room (a medical office). I was seated, then came in Dr. Attallah. He looked at my injuries (sore ankle and knee, bruises on my face and my left index finger) and noted them on paper, asked me to stand up and undress, checked my heartbeat, mouth, and pressed his hands against my abdomen, then told me to bend over and (spread my cheeks). Levingston and another deputy and a male nurse (very fat, light haired, high effeminate voice) were also in the room. Dr. Attallah ordered X Rays to be taken. I dressed and sat in the wheelchair at Levingston's orders then Levingston wheeled me to the X Ray section (I observed that many patients were seated on benches awaiting treatment as we left Dr. Attallah's room.) The fat male nurse mentioned accompanied us. The X Ray attendant was Negro -- he seemed to be friendly. Levingston or the fat nurse gave him a a sheet of instructions, then placed me on the X Ray table and started to X Ray the injured parts of my body -- while all along talking to Levi as he called Levingston. They talked about grades of tests in school. After the X Raying, I was wheeled by Levi and the fat nurse to another section of the hospital (a large room with many nurses) where I was weighed (109 pounds). There the fat nurse asked me if I was Syrian. I denied it by saying (No Comment) - then I was wheeled from there to a far end of the hall where they took my blood sample. The attendant who extracted the blood was Negro medium built 25 - 35 years. Other people were in the area. After this I was put in the wheelchair and taken to a cell. Along the way we stopped, Levingston was bussy [sic] with something and in the meantime Dr. Crehan, as I knew his name to be later passed by me, looked at me, and asked me if I had breakfast. I did not answer. Following this I was taken in an elevator to the second floor where I was put in a cell (# 7005?) Levingston was with me all the time. He was not in the cell -- but he kept watch on me intermittenly [sic]. They took my jail clothes and gave me some brown pajamas -- soon after that they brought me a breakfast (boiled eggs -- bread oats coffee orange juice) I didn't get it. Dr. Crehan knew that I am an Arab - and said that Dr. Attallah is also an Arab - he asked me if I were a (Nazrani) meaning Christian in Arabic / he asked me if I knew were [sic] the part of Alexendretta [sic] was - I did not reply then he said that I probably was too young at the time to remember it. He said he was planning to go to that part of the world (the Middle East) in 1957 when he was in Paris but he had to cancel the trip because there was an assassination in Bagdad [sic]. He planned to go to Bagdad - I felt that he was trying to prompt a reaction from me - I don't think he did - He also mentioned liquar [sic] and drugs 'L.S.D.' - then he started leaving…The same morning Pitchess came up, wished me 'good luck' and told me that I'll be protected and that if I had any complaints, to tell him directely [sic] through the chain of command - I asked him for the morning papers and he promised to bring them. In the meantime A.L. Wirin (ACLU) came up - I asked if he was Jewish. Yes he said. I was disheartened - but he assured me of his legal interest in me. I identified myself to him - during his visit Pitchess came back with the newspapers - Pitchess assured us that the cell is not bugged / Later in the afternoon, a Mr. Garfunkel came from the P.D.'s office - He was a Jew. The second morning they took a urine sample…Plake - he told me that he knew that I wanted to be a jockey. I did not comment - then he asked me if I liked booza, I asked what booza was - he explained that it was an Egyptian liquor like beer - I acted disinterested and complained of abdominal pains and physical depletion - he asked if I was married I didn't answer then he asked if I was homosexual - at that I became mad and said no. Mr. Wirin came up that morning so when Crehan heard that he hurriedly left…I wonder if Mr. Wirin saw the piece of cotton that they gave me to rub off the blood with.'' Manuscript, measuring 8'' x 12.5'' on 5pp. (written in pencil on front sides only) is stapled at top left. Near fine.
