Sir Henry Moore. Governor of N.Y. 1765-69, to which he was appointed by George III as reward for suppressing a slave revolt in Jamaica as Lt.-Gov. there. D.S. with large signature "H. Moore," 1766, at "Our Fort in Our City of New York," granting land to one Coddington, but reserving rights to gold and silver mines and white pine for the Crown. 11 x 17, two pendant seals (one incomplete), toned, minor damage.
