These medals were minted circa 1828 by Sir Edward Thomason, a noted manufacturer and inventor from Birmingham. Included with the original velveteen display are 13 of the 16 original medals, and one cover of the original book. These interesting medals have defined the related science, technology or philosophy with what was known at the time. You will receive Optics, Galvanism/Electricity, Hydrostatics/Hydraulics, Metallurgy/Specific Gravities, Astronomy, Minerology, Geology/Secondary Rocks, Crystallography, Mountains/Classification, Phrenology, Savery’s Steam Engine/High Pressure Engine, Mr. Watt’s Double-Acting Steam Engine, and Chemistry are included (Mr. Watt’s Single-Acting Steam Engine, Mechanics, Newcomen’s Steam Engine/Perkins’s Steam Engine are missing).
