World War II souvenir German surrender document signed by Sir Bernard Montgomery, whose crucial victory in the Second Battle of El Alamein sealed the fate of Rommel's famed Afrika Korps. In fact, because of this victory, the British government bestowed the title of Alamein upon him. Signed ''Montgomery of Alamein F.M. [Field Marshal],'' document outlines surrender of German forces in Holland, Denmark and northwest Germany. Measures 8.5'' x 9.5''. Small chip to bottom and very small paper loss to lower left. Very good condition.
