Sioux Tobacco Bag. Beaded and quilled pipe bag, in colors of white heart red, green and two shades of blue, greasy yellow and white. The beadwork continues up the bag on either side and wraps around the opening. Beaded and quilled tassel attached to the top, decorated with tin cones. Quilled rawhide slats at the bottom with fringe. 39" overall (8" quillwork, 13" of fringe) x 6 ½” wide. Circa 1875. Condition report: Two broken slats. Missing quillwork reveals painted parfleche.
