This is an original work of art done by the Sioux Native American's showing one side with pictorial primitive drawings. The main side shows a Sioux Brave trying to tame a wild horse next to a herd of Beautiful Horses set next to the camp and Tepees. This was done on old Ledger paper that is 101 years old and features script writing across the entire ledger in ink such as, “McKay M.C." The ledger is from 1910-1917. The book was traded to the Sioux Tribe and was believed to be drawn in the 1920's-1930's. All of the Ledger Art came from one book done by the same Indian and was traded directly from his ancestor at the Sioux Pine Ridge Indian Reservation with the original artist being from the Montana Dakotas area. This is truly an American work of art and a rare piece showing great action and drawn at a time when the Native American's were at the end of the war path. The piece comes unframed for inspection and is in good condition. Measures 15.75"x19.75"
