The lot features a fully beaded awl case and knife sheath from the Sioux Native American Indians and dating to circa 1890-1900's. The set shows an approximate 1/2 size most likely for a child or doll a scarcely seen size. Both pieces show an Indian tanned hide construction with sinew sewing with a parfleche rawhide lining and is covered in all period correct glass trade petit seed beads of sky padre light blue, greasy butterscotch yellow, red white hearts, medium green and semi-trasnaprent dark red. The top shows the original tie straps. The second piece is a fully beaded awl case with Indian tanned hide construction with sinew sewing and is completely covered in period correct glass trade petit seed beads of light blue, greasy yellow, butterscotch yellow, medium green and red white hearts. The awl case shows the original long flap top cover with rope beaded single fringe (the top flap has been detached from the case). The bottom of the awl case has three fully robe beaded fringe in a matching linear design and small rolled tin jingle cones. The sheath is 4.5"L x 1.5"W. The awl case is 8"L.
