Sioux Beaded Skullcracker War Club 19th Century
This is an attractive and authentic, late 19th Century bi-point stone head skull cracker war club, attributed to the Sioux Native American Indians. The head shows a nice, polished stone bi-point example, which has been covered in old green paint and is secured to the wood haft through the center of the head and secured with a thick parfleche rawhide strap. The haft has a nice Indian tanned hide wrap, along with small fringe gaskets and a section of “crazy” glass trade seed beadwork at the head. At the end of the handle are a drop of hide fringe with rolled tin jingle dangle cones and a cap of an old thimble. The club measures 16 inches in length and has a head that is 6 inches wide.
