The lot features a Sioux Native American Indian flat bag showing excellent beadwork and quillwork. The bag is from circa 19th to 20th Century. This shows early glass trade seed beads in padre sky blue, greasy yellow, red, medium green, and dark blue. The bag also features brass trade bells and fancy porcupine quilled fringe with a red mineral dye. The beadwork is believed to be very early with the Indian tanned hide and long cut fringe being a later repair done by the Native American Indians. The bag shows overall well preserved condition. Measures 15"x7” (with the fringe).
