This is a Sioux Native American beaded cuff or bracelet from the Otto Ernst Collection. The piece is beaded across the top with a center beaded medallion having a geometric star design and beaded across the strap also. The set is from circa early 1900 with 19th century sinew sewn glass trade seed beads in rare form. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. Each measures 10.25” L x 2.25”W. Original Museum tags. Little to no bead loss.
