This is a wonderfully beaded Sioux Native American Indian beaded awl case with antler or bone awl. Scarcely seen with the original carved awl in such well preserved condition. The Awl case shows chalk white, medium green, and red early 1800's glass trade seed beads on a parfleche case with cut fringe. The top of the case has a fancy beaded edge. The awl is finely carved with a sharp point and was used to punch holes in leather or hide. Has provenance slip from Fighting Bear Antiques in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The case is 12.25" L. The awl is 7" L.
