Simply splendid fine part silk Persian Moud-Mashad rug, 100%natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk and rarest baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This finely woven Moud-Mashad with its multiple medallions and stylized fish design on a beige background embodies the tangible form of a simple and complex at the same time, intricately, yet marvelously executed art form underfoot. This lovely piece is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, using superior quality baby lamb's wool and it has about 200 knots per square inch. The lustrous and glowing silk highlights give this lovely piece an added three dimensional character. Moud is a satellite town in the proximity of Mashad, the capital of Khorasan province. In northwestern Iran. However the word Moud epitomizes the finest and most fabulous rugs of the Khorasan rug producing centers.
