Simply lovely fine garden of paradise Persian Bakhtiari Rug. Made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a rare and charming Bakhtiari, woven by the migratory Bakhtiari tribe living in the western mountains of Iran. The highest quality wool has been used weaving this enchanting piece. This lovely piece is adorned with a charming collection of birds and animals. It is intriguing to know that the panel design was adopted from the matrix formed by the irrigation channels in Persian gardens and so the name, "garden of paradise". Please notice the charming stylized crab design in the primary border.
