Silver-mounted flintlock pistol, made for mideastern trade. 16-1/4” overall, 10” barrel, .62 caliber. The pistol is European made and shows a water proof early 19th century lock with fancy French-style hammer, roller on frizzen, hand engraved with crescent moon and stars. The barrel shows a matching hand-engraved crescent moon with stars at its center. The coin silver mounts are hand engraved with matching motifs and the stock is nicely silver wired engraved with florarls, leaves, and a silver plaque at wrist with matching crescent moon and stars. An original to the period bone-tipped ramrod is included. The breech is hand-engraved “London” with some pitting in that area. The metal condition is good, with some scattered light to moderate pitting. The stock is also good to very good with some small scratches. Some of the wire inlay is missing, about 10-20%, otherwise stock is good and generally good overall. A well made pistol by a London maker that sold to mideastern clients. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
