Akbar (AH 963-1014 /1556-1605 AD), Jaunpur Mint, Silver Square Rupee, AH 986, Obv: Arabic legend, The Kalima Shahada within a square, the four Caliphs' names & Hijri year 986 in the margins, Rev: Persian legends "Jalal ud din Muhammad Akbar Badshah Ghazi" in the center, "khuld allahu taala mulkahu" at the top, "zarb Jaunpur" at the bottom, 11.44g, 18.97 x 18.50mm, (KM # 82.3), lovely toning with patina, sharp strike, test marks superb quality, almost uncirculated, Scarce.
