<B>Damaged and Inscribed Silver Spoon with Royal Provenance in Fitted Case</B></I><BR><I>Marked by William Eley I and William Fearn, London, 1799, marked on handle</B></I><BR><BR>A shell and scroll reeded tablespoon, twisted and broken in two parts, the handle engraved <I>tourné par le Prince Charles le 24 Janvier 1837</B></I>, the bowl engraved <I>Vermachtniss F. Kais. H. d. Grossf. Maria Nikol. Herzogin v. Leuchtenb. 1876</B></I>, in fitted case, the case - 4 3/4 in. long <BR><BR>As the younger brother of Empress Alexandra Fedorovna, Emperor Nicholas I's wife, Prince Charles was Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna's uncle.
