A high-grade silver mine. The Silver Queen outcrop was located soon after the discovery of the Silver King. It was incorporated in New York in 1880 by Philip S. Swain. It was shut down in 1893 due to falling silver prices. Prior to 1932, the district produced more that $2 million in gold as a byproduct of copper. The Silver King & Queen are now part of the large Magma Copper Co. at Superior, Arizona.
