Bhopal, Shah Jahan Begum, Silver 1½Rupee,Obv Rev:kalima shahada in arabic legend,16.30g, 23.50mm,(KM Y # D14), about extremely fine, ExtremelyRare.
Shahajahan Begum of the Bhopal state was the only ruler who had issued 1½ rupee denomination coin. No other ruler or state reportedly has issued 1½ rupee denomination from any Indian Princely State. Same type of coin had appeared in one of the Indian auction few years ago (2-3 Years probably) and was sold for Rs. 1,85,000+. This specimen is missing from various serious collections of Bhopal State coins.Beautifully struck with lovely toning, one of the highest rarity in Bhopal state.
