Shah Jahan (AH 1037-1068 /1628-1658 AD), Burhanpur Mint, Silver Rupee, Month Bahman (Aquarius), Ahad RY, Obv: Arabic legend The Kalima Shahada at the top in two lines, month Bahman & sana ahad at the bottom, Rev: Persian legend "saheb-e-qiran sani Badshah Ghazi Shahjahan" and £zarb Burhanpur" at the bottom, 11.2g, 24.76mm, (KM # 222.5), about extremely fine details, Rare.
Note: During the Mughal Empire, instances of using the same identical dies to strike coins in different metals were relatively rare. However, Lot Number 208 in this auction present a unique testament to such practices, with one coin struck in gold and the other in silver. This adds an intriguing dimension for advanced collectors.
