Akbar, Awadh Mint, Silver Rupee, Kalima Type, AH 967 (7 is half readable), Obv: kalima shahada in a multi-foil, around four khalifas name, Rev:jalal-ud-din muhammad akbar badshah ghazi, on top khuld-allahu-talla, sanah hijri in right at middle, bottom line zarb awadh,11.4g, 27.63mm,(Liddle # S-8.2 Unlisted in KM),about extremely fine,Extremely Rare.
This specimen is the 2nd known piece only of the type, Liddle lists this as RRR in his book on the rarity scale but does not mention the date. But it clearly reads the 96 and part of 7 in the persian at right corner in the middle line. Struck on the large planchet with broader legends. Fantastic example and much of an important coin for Akbar coin collectors.
