This heavy necklace from Oman consists of numerous broad silver rings, which are held together by a thick cord. These silver rings are alternately adorned with different décors that enhances the necklace with a nice contrast. The necklace is fitted with an amulet pendant, a casket of rectangular form, with simple geometric decoration, to which are attached small Khamsa pendants. These pendants represent the stylized hand of Fatima, which, as well as the documents inside the casket, are said to protect against evil influences.

Apart from the usual wear marks, the necklace is in good condition. A pendant with a pair of hands is missing. Including the Khamsa the rectangular pendant measures 10 x 7 cm, the length of the chain, including the cord, is about 67 cm and the overall weight is about 250 grams.
