Silver King Mining Company, Elkhorn, Oregon, Photograph and Prospectus. Nice pairing. The photograph is 4 X 6 inches mounted on a decorative card and entitled below: "Prospect Tunnel on the Silver King Mine, Where these ores come from." Imprinted in white small print on the photo is, "East Tunnel Queen Vein." The same photo is printed in the prospectus on p. 9 and titled, "East Prospect Tunnel on Queen Vein, showing ore formation, width from hanging wall to foot wall about 130 feet." The prospectus booklet measures 5 x 7 inches, 32 pages with violet stock wraps and silver print identifying the mine, location and an office located in Portland. The company is capitalized at $500,000; at $1 per share. The President is J. J. Langmark of Portland. The Silver King Mine is located in the Lester Mining District on the western slope of the Cascade Range, 24 miles northwesterly from the summit of Mt. Jefferson. The mine consists of 12 mining claims lying contiguous with an aggregate of 240 acres. Another prospect tunnel west is some 300 feet from the East Tunnel and is pictured in the prospectus. There are numerous assay reports that show both gold and silver running at some $20 to as high as $145 per ton. Elkhorn Oregon
