Print of Felix Count Luckner The Sea Devil Signed Felix Count Luckner December 10, 1930. 7 x 9, tipped on stiff paper stock. A nice portrait of Luckner smoking his ubiquitous pipe done by an artist called Fenchtinger. Luckner has boldly signed and dated the print at the lower right corner. He has also added what appears to be an inscription in German at the upper left corner of the print. Felix Count von Luckner (1881-1966) was a legendary WWI German naval officer famous for sinking 25 ships in his small ship disguised as a fishing boat. The portrait comes with a one page typed biography.
