Signed & numbered etching, created by the artist Hal Singer ( 1919-2003 ) toward the end of the last century. The subject is a reclining nude woman, drawn from just a few continuous lines. While the subject is typical of Singer, the style is not. It is number 6 of an edition of 75. Sheet size is 10 1/2" X 13 3/4". Plate mark dimensions- 8 3/4" X 11 3/4". The etching from a cache that has probably been in storage since the prints were created. They may have some minor corner folds but they are otherwise pristine. Singer received his art training at New York University and the Art Students League of New York. The subjects of many of his paintings are women in soft backgrounds with relaxed poses, often in partial shadow. The etching for sale is from a recently discovered group, signed, numbered & titled in pencil along the bottom. These etchings have never been framed & generally pristine.
