First edition, limited to two hundred special copies bound in leather and numbered and signed by the author (on a printed label mounted on the front free endpaper). This copy is additionally inscribed on the front endpaper and label by Russell's son, Jack Russell: “<I>This is the best book I have seen about my father signed Jack Russell.</B></I>” Quarto (11.5” x 11.5”). viii, 435 pages. Profusely illustrated with Russell's wonderful illustrated letters. Publisher's full brown leather, stamped in blind on the front cover with a facsimile of Russell's signature: “<I>C.M. Russell</B></I>,” and lettered in gilt on the spine. An absolutely fine copy.
