<B>General Jonathan Wainwright Photograph Signed</B></I> “<I>J. M. Wainwright/ General USA</B></I>”. 8” x 10”, black-and-white U. S. Army Signal Corps photograph, remnants of glue at the corners on the reverse side from having been removed from an album, else in fine condition. Jonathan Mayhew Wainwright IV (1883-1953) was the commanding officer of U.S. forces in the Philippines at the beginning of WWII. After surrender of U.S. forces in 1942 Wainwright spent the rest of the war as a prisoner and upon rescue was allowed the honor of being present on the U.S.S.
