Signed CDV of surgeon Norton Folsom, U.S. 45th Connecticut Infantry. CDV signed on verso “Norton Folsom / Surgeon 45th U.S.C.T.” Folsom enlisted in April 1864 as a surgeon and was mustered into the U.S. Field and Staff, 45th Connecticut Infantry in April 1864. In March of 1865 he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel by Brevet. He mustered out in November of 1865. CDV image is coming loose from backing in upper right corner. Upper left margin of image reveals a slight tear. CDV measures 2.5” x 4”. Overall very good condition.
